After obtaining her Bachelors in Kinesiology, she spent 6 years working in BC at Steve Nash Sports Club, achieving recognition as a Presidents Club Trainer. Kelly's journey continued to Halifax where she ran her own business, KMACFIT, for the past seven years, including two years mentoring her dedicated team. Kelly has accomplished her long term goal of owning her own Boutique Fitness Facility, AIRA Life & Fitness.

Her multi-sport background also includes lacrosse, flag football, and field hockey—each contributing to her understanding of athletic performance, teamwork, and the physical demands of sport.
Motivated by her own experiences as an athlete, Kayla pursued a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Dalhousie University, where she specialized in areas such as exercise physiology, biomechanics, and rehabilitation science. Her passion for fitness extended beyond academics, as she also worked as a group fitness instructor, empowering others through movement and exercise.
